Plastic pollution has become prevalent in recent history, and the environmental impact is now much better understood. Plastic is carbon-intensive to produce, transport and to recycle responsibly. And plastic that’s not recycled responsibly often devastates natural ecosystems and marine biology.

CHEERIO PLASTIC
Single use plastic bottles account for a third of all plastic pollution, and this is hardly surprising when over one million plastic bottles are sold every minute globally. Bottled water and other soft drinks are frankly a major culprit. Given that drinking water and staying hydrated are an important cornerstone of our health and culture, we wanted to define a product that was plastic free and environmentally friendly.
Spruce hopefully does just that. We want to encourage our customers to drink more water, and to drink more water from the tap. We are so lucky to have clean and abundant drinking water in Europe, and we don’t see the point in shipping water and pre-made flavoured water or squash around in plastic bottles or cans.
