Over 500 billion plastic bottles are produced worldwide each year, leaving a trail of environmental destruction. The production and shipping of bottled water generates over 80 million tonnes of CO2 a year, and with only 9% of plastic recycled, something surely has to give?

WHAT ACTION ARE SPRUCE TAKING?

1. Reducing emissions by 98% by shipping just the fruit & raw ingredients (and not the water)
2. Using less plastic than our competitors and traditional water enhancers. 1 500ml plastic bottle is equivalent to 115 Spruce sachets

SPRUCE IS PROTECTING OUR OCEANS

With every box sold, we collect 10 ocean-bound plastic bottles through our partnership with CleanHub. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, so we are aiming to collect 100,000 plastic bottles in the next year to help rectify it.
